I have an approved EB2 i140 from former employer and it's valid. The PD is current now. But current company did not start the PERM yet. My 6 years of H1b will run out soon. Can I use the i140 to extend my h1b. And how many years I can get?

You can legally extend your H1B beyond the six years threshold with an approved I-140, however, once your PD becomes current you can only extend one year at a time.
