Question

I am currently working for company A on L1 visa and I received I-797B for current year H1b petition. I got a job offer from company B and I am wondering if company B can apply H1b transfer for me with this I-797B notice and file a transfer petition using change of status? Or I have to go back to my home country, get H1b stamped, re-enter US with H1b and then transfer?

Hi, you can go back to your country get new H1B visa, then re-enter us. if your H1B I-797A show “The above petition and change of status have been approved"，you don't need to re-enter US.
