律师您好，我现在是h1b身份，第二个term在10/22/22过期，之前自己准备了材料申请了转h4。
我本来是想填h4生效日期为8/01/21，但是后来发现填错了——填成了8/01/20。请问我现在应该怎么办？如果移民局真的批准了8/01/20，那我这一年岂不是都是work without authorization了？另外我看移民局对539表格有一个instruction。可否请律师您解释一下。谢谢！
Change of Status. Part 2., Item Number 3.b. of the application, select the date you want your change of status to occur on. If approved, your change of status will occur on the date your current nonimmigrant status ends, the date of approval, or the requested date, whichever occurs later.
