Question

My major is Information System and I am in the first year of OPT. I have a full time information system related job, and I want to take a part time Teaching Assistant job in my school. But this TA job is for a finance related course, which is not very related to my major. Is it legal to do that? Will that cause bad impact for my H1b or green card application in the future? Thanks

You are allowed to have multiple jobs during the course of your OPT but they all have to be related to your major, if not, your OPT might be terminated at the discretion of your school or the USICS.
