您好！我女朋友跟我一起读书，今年5月毕业，7月份就必须离境，如果我跟她结婚，在她毕业前申请境内转F2，那么在7月份身份失效以后呆在美国境内是否合法？
我前两天问了学校工作人员，学校的人说：

她说，最新的改变是，F签证在批下来以前，原来的身份必须是仍然有效的，所以7月份身份过期以后就不合法了，请问是这样吗？那么是不是让她先申请OPT，再申请转F2签证比较好？
我搜索了很多帖子都是可以在境内转的，但是那些帖子可能比较老了，那些帖子批下来F2的时间只有半年，但是现在好像是需要一年甚至更久，求解答，谢谢！
