I am currently in H1b cap status. Due to relocation, I am considering transfer to F2, and seeking employment at the same time. I may need to travel outside of the U.S. for a short family visit. I have following questions:
(1) If F2 is pending, can new employer file H1b petition? Would USCIS review and approve my H1b case when F2 is pending?
(2) While F2 or H1b is pending, if I travel outside of the U.S. does it mean all pending cases would be abandoned, then I may have issues returning the U.S.?
(3) I am in H1b cap status now. If I would change to H1b cap exempt, is that I need to go through lottery to have H1b cap？
